This year being a member of the intern body through THE CORE at YFN has really showed me just a little part of God's love for us through the love that each one of the interns and staff pours into your lives and among the campers. When I first came I felt like I didn't belong and questioned my reason being there! However, God met me and showed me that I was there for purposes whether great or small. I woudn't regret this summer for anything. I encourage you to take the plunge and just do it because it will be the most amazing experience of your life, guaranteed, and you will make some of the best friends who really your become brothers and sisters in Christ.

My life's foundations were built on God, but the only problem was it had its cracks. So this summer God worked in me, and then turned right around and worked through me. He filled in those gaps and built me the best foundation anyone could ever ask for. My life and my passions are all about Him. For the first time in my life He is the ONLY thing i pursue and crave. He is my life's passion! My whole mind set was changed this summer into just realizing the attacks that Satan puts on us to distract us. I guess the only way to explain it is that Jesus Christ in my passion in life; I will live for Him, and DIE for Him! What ever He has for me, even if I don't like it sometimes, I'm there!

I came to the Core, struggling with so many things that occupied the majority of my thoughts and kept me cuddled inside my box. I came with a huge heart for missions, but left with so much more. God tore down...no, DESTROYED every wall that I'd built up and gave me such a burden for our generation. I refuse to be lazy and not interceed for them. I will not be silent. I came to the Core in bondage and my Deliverer freed me! I came so numb from this world and God broke off every callous. I came with a big slab of duck tape over my mouth and my Redeemer opened my mouth. I will not stay quiet! Apply for the Core and pray for His will. There's nothing to lose and SOO much to gain. You'll come back completely unrecognizable! BIG tiiime!

The Core has been a life changing experience. It truly has pulled me out of my comfort zone. The Core is a great opportunity to show this generation who Jesus Christ really is. I am very glad to be behind the scenes and get to talk with all the girls and pour into their lives. I know when I was a camper I needed the interns to be there for me and I am so glad I now get to be that to the girls.

The Core changed my life in a way that nothing else has. It wasn’t about religion, emotion, or show – it was about Jesus Christ. In one summer I grew more spiritually than I have in years. At YFN, Jesus became my everything, and that can never be taken from me!

The Core is like nothing I’ve experienced. I’ve been apart of several ministry projects apart from the Core but none of them has had quite the impact that the Core has. Being apart of the Core has allowed me to appreciate the value of hard work that goes into YFN. I now have spiritual brothers and sisters in Christ that I wouldn’t have had otherwise. Through the Core, the Lord has shown me just how much strength He has given me. He’s shown me just how amazing He really is.
